CHIPPING AND CHUNKING

PHENOMENON

Relatively smaller “gauges” occur on tread surface. Small amount of tread rubber is missing.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

Quite strong Lateral-Force is applied on the tread surface during operation. Typical maneuver result in this phenomenon is: cross-wind landing, high speed cornering, and tight-turning.

RECOMMENDATION

Remove tire when cords are exposed in the spot.
